their Pine Needle Baskets at the Fleming Island Library
for the month of November.
Alice met Marjorie at the St. Margaret's spring Craft show & asked her to teach her
this lost art.
marjorie was raised at the Calville Indian Reservation in Washington State.

The Art Center will hold it's 2nd juried art show - Pets on Parade
on Nov. 7,
2009.
The show is open to children ages 4-17
All forms of media will be accepted celebrating any type
of animal.
Entry fee is $5.00 Prizes will be awarded !

in the Orange Park Library - 2054 Plainfield Ave. Orange Park, FL.
Members may enter 2 pieces for jurying and judging
at $10 each on Monday, Nov.2, 2009 from 10-noon.
The Opening Reception & awards will be November
6th from 5:30-7:30PM.
Take down is Nov.30, 2009 - 10:30 am.

Open Painting & Photography Exhibit at the Fair. Members are encouraged to volunteer at this wonderful community event.

MIDDLEBURG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
ART FESTIVAL
This one day event in May has member volunteers participating in a hands on art xperience for the students.
Local artists, musicians, dancers, storytellers, etc. all give the kids a unique experience in the "arts". Volunteers
are always needed to pull this huge event off !

~ ICE CREAM SOCIAL ~
Area artists join
Clay artist/teacher Barbara J. Cornett, at Village Gallery, in making bowls for the "Ice Cream Social" fund
raiser at the season's 1st meeting of the Art Guild of Orange Park, Inc. Proceeds from the sale of the bowls
will benefit the Guild's scholarship fund. Many thanks to Barbara for all her time, clay, glaze, & energy in
the "mass production" of these beautiful pieces of art ! We all had a blast learning the fascinating art of Clay.
Come join us at the 6PM "Social" which will proceed the September 1, 2009 meeting at the Lion's Club on
Smith Street in Orange Park. All are welcome to participate.
